Nepean Budgerigar Society is a family friendly club based in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Bayside areas and Mornington Peninsula. The club is rich in history, established in 1957.
All Nepean Budgerigar Society members are also members of the Budgerigar Council of Victoria. Members then have the opportunity to register their birds with rings, and show in the state and club diploma shows.
The club hosts events such as budgie training nights, intra club shows and selection shows for state shields. Anyone is welcome to come along, you don't need to be a member. Most events are held at the Dingley Community Centre. Please make contact with the club for more specific details. This is usually all followed by a cuppa and chat among our friendly members.
Our members are passionate about sharing their knowledge of the hobby with each other. A wealth of information is available about husbandry, breeding, diet and health issues.
We aim to provide assistance to breeders of all ages and abilities, welcoming both experienced and beginners of the hobby
So if you are an experienced breeder looking for a new direction, or have an interest in budgies, and would like to take your hobby to the next level, we would love to hear from you.
